North Delhi is in administrative district of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. North delhi is bounded by the Yamuna River on the east, and by the districts of north west delhi to the north and west, West Delhi to the southwest, Central Delhi to the south, and North East Delhi to the east across the Yamuna. North delhi has a population of 7,79,788 (2001 census). Administratively, the district is divided into three subdivisions, Sadar Bazar, Kotwali, and Civil Lines. Delhi Lagislative Assembly is establishment here, is also known as Delhi Vidhan Sabha.
